Nearly eight years ago, when the U.S. marketplace was merely exploring the possibility of affordable, commercial-use GPS-FleetBoss was already leading the way.

Founded in 1998, FleetBoss Global Positioning Solutions, Inc. saw the enormous business solutions potential of global positioning systems (GPS) for fleet vehicle tracking and mobile workforce accountability. FleetBoss founder, chairman and CEO, Larry Carroll, traveled extensively throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Holland and Germany, visiting manufacturers and established GPS providers to develop the highest level of GPS expertise for fleet management enhancement.

After exhaustive industry study, FleetBoss introduced a new, innovative GPS product called The Boss® fleet management system. Utilizing a reusable memory module, The Boss® tracked and recorded fleet vehicle activity through satellite signals.

The Boss® was only the beginning.
Augmented by a corporate staff of top GPS and business solution experts, FleetBoss created even more advanced fleet management tools such as the FleetBoss AutoGraphics® software solution. For the first time, comprehensive vehicle data was combined with easy to generate management reports. The year 2000 marked an expansion of facilities and continued growth of a national network of dealers who today provide local service in major markets from coast to coast.

Rapidly taking the lead in hybrid GPS fleet management, The Boss® 2500 system and The Boss® 3500 system utilized 900 MHz RF to download information from vehicle to base station and were introduced in 2001 at the first national dealer conference. FleetBoss unveiled another innovation, using the control channel of the national cellular network to send and receive vehicle position data. A uniquely responsive Customer Service Center was also established to meet provide on-going profitability support to FleetBoss' thousands of satisfied clients and growing dealer network.
